Holiday Mini Magic

The Holiday Mini has been released and all I can say is WOW. The new products Stampin' Up! is introducing excites me so. It's hard to pinpoint a favorite, but the Big Shot Framelits with coordinating stamp sets are high on my list. I think this cannery set is so cute and the Framelits so easy to use. This is one of three cards we made at my Hostess Appreciation Event this past weekend. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Serene Silhouettes

Today's card is July's Club card and it features many new products from the Stampin' UP! catalog. Serene Silhouettes is one of my favorite new stamp sets. The Argyle Textured Impression embossing folder makes is so simple to make a nice background. The ribbon is 7/8" cotton ribbon which will make it's debut in the Holiday Catalog. LOVE it. You can even stamp on it! Color Combo is Wild Wasabi, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake.

A "Handy" Gift to make and give

At the end of every school year, I make a little "thank you" gift for the school lead secretaries who have supported me throughout the school year. We are talking 30 schools, so it needed to be a quick, easy and inexpensive. Taking advantage of  Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual clearance sale and tweaking Dawn Griffith's pattern, I made these for the ladies and they were a huge hit. One can never have too much hand sanitizer. These are super-fast to make. Make extra to have a gift on hand for any occasion.

An 8-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock will make four holders.  The Simply Scored tool makes this extremely easy. Place your "Place Markers" on the 1/2"; 1-1/2"; 3-3/4"; 4-3/4"; 8"; 9" score lines. My quick easy tip for this project is to score first cut second. Score your full sheet (11" side) and then cut the 8-1/2" in half at 4-1/4", then cut the 4-1/4" pieces in half at 2-1/8".

 Thanks for stopping by.....bless"inks"!

Convention Swap Revisited

Last year I shared this swap card I made for a "WOW" organized swap I was participating in at Convention. I made up extra and kept them, for times I needed a card at the spur of the moment. I recently had an Uncle pass-away.  Being that he had a large family the extra cards came in handy to make this Sympathy card. All I did was switch out the verse. I guess all those years spent in Girl Scouts has paid off...Be Prepared!

I really haven't fallen off of God's big blue marble, I just have had a bit of a distraction lately (wink wink). The birth of my first grand baby. I am so blessed to experience such an event. Now, that the baby powder dust is settling a bit, I can now pay a little bit of attention to my stamping. Today's post is the card I made for a Shoebox Swap I recently held here in Cecil County Maryland. It features the new Summer Smooches DSP and the techniques is folded frame. I must very easy to make with the new Simply Scored Diagonal plate. Inky Hugs to all.

Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig

I had such a great time this past week rooming with my buddies Heidi and Carol, and being spoiled rotten by Stampin' Up!, but I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. Dorothy, said it best "there's no place like home." Today's share is one of the many favorite cards at Leadership. Can you guess how they made the "pinwheels"?  Too cute, definitely going to give this technique a try.

Leadership 2012

I had good intentions to post every day of Leadership but obviously that did not happen. The good news on this trip, I am happy to report that I did not repeat my classic trip and roll down the street towards the Convention Center that I did last summer at SU Convention. My roommates Heidi and Carol have kept me walking to and from the Convention Center, so I hope I'm hoping I have dropped a few pounds.
Leadership is a Stampin' Up! event in which demonstrators who have reached the Supervisor and above level can attend. The Conference begins with bag pick up. This year's bag was designed by Melanie Hopes (pictured above). She joined us for dinner on Wednesday night. She wanted us to be surprised on Thursday morning, so she was very tight lipped about this year's bag. Isn't the bag adorable? This was just the beginning of the many wonderful gifts SU has spoiled us with.I will post more tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

SU Leadership begins today, here in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. I can't wait to see old friends and make new ones. Came across this beautiful waterfall walking down the Riverwalk on our walk-a-bout of the city yesterday. Much more to see today but we first need to check-in to leadership and pick-up or Leadership Bag. We are told we are going to like it very much. Will post a pick soon. Have a great day.
