Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig

I had such a great time this past week rooming with my buddies Heidi and Carol, and being spoiled rotten by Stampin' Up!, but I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. Dorothy, said it best "there's no place like home." Today's share is one of the many favorite cards at Leadership. Can you guess how they made the "pinwheels"?  Too cute, definitely going to give this technique a try.

Leadership 2012

I had good intentions to post every day of Leadership but obviously that did not happen. The good news on this trip, I am happy to report that I did not repeat my classic trip and roll down the street towards the Convention Center that I did last summer at SU Convention. My roommates Heidi and Carol have kept me walking to and from the Convention Center, so I hope I'm hoping I have dropped a few pounds.

Leadership is a Stampin' Up! event in which demonstrators who have reached the Supervisor and above level can attend. The Conference begins with bag pick up. This year's bag was designed by Melanie Hopes (pictured above). She joined us for dinner on Wednesday night. She wanted us to be surprised on Thursday morning, so she was very tight lipped about this year's bag. Isn't the bag adorable? This was just the beginning of the many wonderful gifts SU has spoiled us with.I will post more tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

SU Leadership begins today, here in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. I can't wait to see old friends and make new ones. Came across this beautiful waterfall walking down the Riverwalk on our walk-a-bout of the city yesterday. Much more to see today but we first need to check-in to leadership and pick-up or Leadership Bag. We are told we are going to like it very much. Will post a pick soon. Have a great day.

Spice Cake Thanksgiving

I'm sorry it has been such a long time since I've posted. I just love the Spice Cake DSP. I got inspiration for this card from Ann Schach, you can view her version here. this card from another demo. It was one of my Stamper's Ten Club cards. I loved it so much I decided to use it as my Thanksgiving card this year. Wishing you a harvest of good things!

Spice Cake

I can't believe it has been so long since I've posted. Life really can pass you by in the blink of an eye. Bear with me on my blog pics, I'm trying my "new to me" camera out. Dear daughter bought a new one for her and handed down to me her old one. That's a switch...she usually gets the "hand me downs". It's a fancy one with a micro zoom. I think I may have "zoomed" too much on this pic.

It's beginning to feel a little like Christmas

I held a Big Shot class this past weekend and it was so much FUN! The class featured the Holiday Stocking Bigz L die #124098 from the Holiday Mini catalog on page 24. We first paper pieced 1" squares using the new 1" square punch #124094 on page 36 of the Holiday mini. After cutting out the stocking we embossing the cutout with the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing folder #124096 on page 33 of the Holiday Mini.
